Rules and Descriptions
Coggins Required: A current 12 month negative coggins required, must be shown to show secretary at registration.
Absolutely no alcohol or illegal drugs will be allowed on the show grounds. You will be asked to leave immediately if this
rule is violated.
Pets: All pets must be kept on a leash. Pets are not allowed in snack bar.
Year End Award Points
A one time sign up fee $30.00 per horse/rider combo is required to join the 2011 Year End Awards Circuit. The fee
must be paid to the show secretary by anyone entering the year end competition. Before their first points show of the
year begins or the points earned in that show will not count; points will not be retroactive. Points are awarded to the
same hose and rider combination in the same class for all point shows. Competitors must enter five of the six shows to
be eligible for year end awards. Year end riders must claim walk trot or Not. If claiming No them you will be in the
canter/lope divisions.
Age Determination: Age of exhibitor as of January 1, 2011, determines eligibility for the year.
Tot Leadline: Exhibitor must be age 6 or under. The horse or pony must be lead by an adult or experienced handler.
Beginner Classes: Rider can be of any age. An experienced handler may accompany the rider and walk at their side,
riders may have assistance from handler.
Open Classes: Open to all riders regardless of age.
Pony/Mini Classes: Pony/Mini must be 13.2 hands or under. Pony/Mini trail exhibitors may have assistance and will
have an age appropriate trail pattern.
Trail Pleasure Classes: Are open to gaited horses only, open to all Non-trotting breed horses. Riders of all ages may
enter these classes. Horses may be shown in English or Western Tack.
Stallions: Anyone showing/handling/riding a stallion must be a least 18 years of age.
Trail Classes: May be shown English or Western tack. Patterns will be posted. It is the exhibitors responsibility to know
and follow the pattern.
Proper Attire: All classes require proper attire, unless the judge specifically waives coat requirements. The jumpers
must wear boots and an ASTM-approved helmet; this requirement cannot be waived by the judge.
Daily high Point Awards: Are awarded to the same horse/rider combination.
Judging: The judge’s decision is final! Anyone with a question for the judge will notify the show chairman who will
arrange a short meeting with the judge at a convenient time.
Youth Classes: Are for riders under the age of 18.
